Essay topic

For my essay topic I chose to write about the social aspects of the Internet. I think that incorporating social life in the world of the web is very important because it creates a convenient way to keep in contact with friends, family, and acquaintances. The argument I would like to propose in my essay is how SOPA and other bills are trying to be passed, resulting in no Internet freedom. However, if we are paying a monthly bill for our Internet how can they tell us what we can and cannot do on it? If SOPA or anything related to it were to pass, there would be no way to socially connect with one another via internet. This would make it very inconvenient for everyone who relies on the internet as a primary source of information.
